A Bit of Alchemy and luck are just those perfect ingredients for the creative chemigrams. The next question which comes to your mind is what is chemigram and whats so special about it ??? Well, a chemigram is actually a technique of lensless photography to create stunning images. One can say that it is a collision of two art forms-painting and photography. Invented in 1965 by the Belgian artist Pierre Cordier it involves painting chemicals used in silver halide photography namely developer and fixer over a photosensitive paper to create surreal compositions. In fact you can apply the chemicals on the paper as you wish-with a paint-brush, spray painting or dropping them as blobs on the paper. The results somewhat resemble watercolour art. The essential tool of the photographic process is not the camera but the light sensitive layer.
The best part about chemigram is that no two chemigrams ever look the same because the chemicals react differently each time when you mix them thus giving you completely different results. Also you can make use of paints, oils and varnish for the additional effects in the form of varied textures and hues. At times each chemigram is unique and can be interpreted in several different ways. Note that factors like external lights, room temperature and emulsion of the light-sensitive paper may affect the tones in your chemigram over a period of time. But then imagine an art which keeps changing as time passes is just to exciting. So let your imaginations run wild and start creating your own new chemigrams!!!!!
Good work its awesome I wish u best of luck for further creative n Great ideas go on
